Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join a Government Consulting company located in Tampa, FL through a 100% onsite work environment. The Data Scientist possesses a blend of skills, including programming, mathematical modeling, statistics, and domain knowledge. As a Data Scientist, you will be at the forefront of designing, implementing, and maintaining data pipelines by interpreting and analyzing complex data sets, planning and executing machine learning (ML) projects, and leveraging methodologies such as data mining, natural language programming, and machine learning. Responsibilities for Data Scientist: * Collaborate with Data Engineers to program and cleanse data, creating data environments by using exploratory mathematical and statistical methods to analyze and interpret data.
* Innovate solutions by experimenting with data to tackle challenges.
* Utilize scientific methodologies, algorithms, and statistics for development.
* Develop predictive and prescriptive models, employing NLP, RPA, clustering, and forecasting techniques and automate data manipulation and analysis processes. * Employ frameworks like Spark and Hadoop for in-depth data processing, creating visualizations using Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, and R Shiny. * Create and implement algorithms using R, Python, or similar languages and communicate complex concepts to non-technical audiences through digital storytelling.
* Supporting the MET team, which will be training and developing junior Data Scientists
Qualifications for Data Scientist Include: * Minimum of 2 year of relevant experience. * Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (preferred fields include Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science), with a preference for a Master's degree. * Proficiency in programming languages (Java, C++, Python, React, etc.)
* Adeptness in Agile Development and Git Operations. * Demonstrated track record of applying data science techniques to real-world issues. * At least a Secret Clearance required
Preferred Qualifications for Data Scientist Include: * Extensive proficiency in data engineering, processing, and modeling techniques using platforms such as Databricks, IBM Cloud Pak, Cloudera, and Snowflake. * Advanced background in mathematics and statistics. * Capability to handle and manipulate substantial structured and unstructured datasets.
Compensation for Data Scientist: * Salary Range: $125,000- $140,000/year **depending on experience**
