We are in search of an HPC data storage engineer who will be responsible for the cluster's file and data storage systems, and provide support on-site within a secure environment during normal business hours. As anHPC Data Storage Engineer and member of our select team, you will: * Apply comprehensive knowledge of HPC and conventional storage technologies, comprised of high-speed multi-petabyte Lustre file systems, high performance storage arrays, JBODs, and tape libraries * Join us at an exciting time as we introduce next-generation technologies * Be part of a group that provides game-changing capabilities to the nation * Receive a robust benefits package that includes our Employee Stock Ownership Plan A week in the life of anHPC Data Storage Engineer: * Manage where data is stored * Capacity planning and management, performance management, metrics reporting, storage quotas, policy enforcement, hardware management and tuning * Interface with HPC users to identify potential performance improvement strategies * Remotely assist a counterpart located at an alternate site as needed Job Requirements * Bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field and three or more years of job related experience * Current TS/SCI Clearance * Demonstrated knowledge monitoring and administering parallel filesystems such as Lustre, BeeGFS, GPFS, etc. * Experience deploying and administering data storage systems (SAN, NAS, tape archives). * Demonstrated knowledge of building, configuring, and administering production Linux computer/storage systems. * Practical experience scripting in Bash, Perl, Python, or similar languages. * Experience deploying and managing SAN infrastructure. * Working knowledge of networking concepts and practices. * Knowledge of or experience with hardware and software security practices. * Certifications: DoD 8570 IAT II/III and Red Hat Computing Environment (RHCSA) EOE Minorities/Women/Disabled/Veterans/Gender Identity/Sexual Orientation
