Job Description:

As a Java Lead Developer, you will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and delivering software changes in APIs and databases within a cloud environment. You will work independently and collaboratively with development, application development (AD), product owner (PO), and user acceptance testing (UAT) teams to ensure successful and timely project deliveries. Your expertise in Java, Cassandra, Kafka, and Kubernetes will be critical in driving our projects forward.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of software changes in APIs and databases.
  • Analyze requirements, design solutions, and deliver high-quality software within a cloud environment.
  • Work independently to drive project deliverables and ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Collaborate actively with Dev, AD, PO, and UAT teams to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.
  • Utilize tools such as IntelliJ, Splunk, and the Gaia Kubernetes Platform to enhance development processes.
  • Ensure code quality, performance, and scalability of applications.
  • Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to performance, reliability, and availability of applications.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Java Developer, with a strong background in full-stack development.
  • In-depth knowledge of Cassandra DB and experience in working with NoSQL databases.
  • Familiarity with Kafka for real-time data processing and streaming.
  • Hands-on experience with the Gaia Kubernetes Platform for container orchestration.
  • Proficiency in using IntelliJ for development and Splunk for monitoring and analysis.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a track record of working effectively in an Agile Scrum environment.
  • Experience with cloud environments and understanding of cloud-native development principles.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience leading development teams or projects.
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and best practices.
  • Familiarity with other tools and technologies such as Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
