RMF Position Description RESPONSIBILITIES • Support security authorization activities for compliance with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Risk Management Framework (RMF) SP 800-53. • Developing and maintaining documentation for C&A in accordance with ODNI and DoD policies • Creating, managing, and maintaining A&A packages to include System Security Plans (SSP)s, Security Control Traceability Matrices (SCTMs), Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms), and other artifacts. • Supporting the entry and maintenance of data into information system security systems of record, such as eMASS. • Coordinate technical security assessments of computing environments and systems to identify points of vulnerability, non-compliance with established Information Assurance (IA) standards and regulations, and recommend mitigation strategies. • Managing changes to the system and assessing the security impact of those changes. • Preparing and reviewing documentation to include System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk assessment Reports, C&A Packages, and System Requirements Traceability Matrices (SRTMs). • Assist engineers and developers in the identification and implementation of appropriate information security controls and potential security functionality to ensure uniform application of security policy and enterprise solutions. • Validate and verify system security requirements definitions and analysis and establishes system security design for controls. • Create and review A&A Body of Evidence (BOE) documentation, providing succinct assessment on compliance of its content for A&A adjudication. • Providing continuous monitoring and lifecycle management support activities through both manual and automated methods. • Assisting in the development of security control weakness mitigation and management strategies.  • Providing unique functional expertise necessary to interpret requirements and achieve successful performance to include subject matter expertise and unique mission/technical knowledge. • Providing insight to teams for the understanding of the customer’s requirements and the analysis, evaluation and implementation of systems policies, strategy plans and other relevant projects. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • 5+ years of relevant experience. • Must hold DoD 8140 qualification for (612) Security Control Assessor which includes any of the following for the Intermediate Level: CGRC/CAP, CASP+ce, Cloud+ce, PenTest+ce, Security+ce, or GSEC. At the Advanced Level: CISM, CISSO, CPTE, CySA+ce, FITSP-A, GCSA, CISA, CISSP, CISSP-ISSEP, GSLC or GSNA. • Experience as an RMF Engineer, ISSM/ISSO, Security Controls Assessor/Validator, and/or Information Assurance Engineer. • Hands-on with eGRC tools like: eMASS, XACTA, RSA Archer, etc. • Ability to clearly articulate ideas for executive level consumption. • Ability to use prior experience and knowledge to address new situations, especially during interactions with the customer. • Ability to use prior experience and knowledge to seamlessly incorporate new knowledge or information. • B.S. degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems or Computer Science. • US Citizenship and have a Secret security clearance with eligibility for Top Secret/SCI.
