Security Specialist with Security Clearance

Duties * Serves as a Security Specialist in a garrison Security Office within the Installation Management Command (IMCOM). * Serves as a Security Specialist for one or more security programs (e.g. Industrial Security, Information Security, Personnel Security, or their associated training requirements) defined by the AR 380-series regulations. * Interprets higher-level guidance and promulgates implementing directives and guidance to the Army organizations on the installation. * Provides definitive technical advice and assistance to senior authorities. * Conducts analyses to identify program issues. * Advises the supervisor of recommended policy or procedural changes. * Provides program oversight of the implementation processes at the installation. Requirements Conditions of Employment * Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. * Two-year trial period may be required. * In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter. * Must be able to obtain and then continue to maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) based on a Special Background Investigation for the duties required. * Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) may be required for approximately 15% of the time. * This position has been identified for the Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Certification Program. Requires the incumbent to obtain the SFPC certification within their first two years of employment.
