Job Title: Software Engineer - Full Stack for DoD Contract (Mid Level) Terms: Direct-Hire Location: Alexandria, Virginia (Onsite initially, with strong potential for hybrid/remote work flexibility) Security Clearance: Ability to obtain a T3/Secret clearance (Mandatory) Pay: $100,000 to 130,000 Clearance: Active Secret or higher Organization Overview: We are a non-profit leader in applied research, evaluation, and analytics in the arenas of employment, student, and military testing, and professional credentialing and licensing. About the Job: We're seeking a skilled Full Stack Developer to join our team in delivering cutting-edge software solutions for Department of Defense (DoD) projects. You'll play a pivotal role in building secure, scalable applications that directly support our nation's defense. Responsibilities: Collaborate in an agile environment, using pair programming and test-driven development (TDD) methodologies to deliver high-quality code.
Partner with team leads, fellow developers, and DoD stakeholders to translate complex requirements into elegant software solutions.
Rigorously test and deploy applications, ensuring they meet stringent DoD security and performance standards.
Analyze existing systems and provide recommendations for upgrades, optimizations, and new system installations in alignment with DoD requirements.
Actively contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, from design and development to deployment and maintenance. Qualifications: US Citizenship (Mandatory)
Ability to obtain a T3/Secret Security Clearance (Mandatory)
CompTIA Security+ certification or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in software development.
Demonstrated expertise in the following technologies: Ruby, React, GraphQL, PostgreSQL (Equivalent tech stack may be considered)
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or additional equivalent experience).
Experience working with project management tools like Jira and Confluence
Proven proficiency in Git version control.
Strong track record of successful collaboration within distributed agile teams.
Familiarity with cloud development environments (AWS, Azure, etc.)
In-depth understanding of DoD secure coding practices and secure software development principles. Highly Desirable: Active T3/Secret Clearance
