Duties * You will work from blueprints, specifications, and wiring schematics to locate problems with air conditioning units. * You will use tools to check heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system performance (e.g., high and low side pressures, temperatures and pressures of liquid and suction lines, running times of system mechanisms). * You will install and maintain special purpose heating, ventilation, and air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC R) systems for non-critical and critical areas to provide near or exact climatic conditions. * You will select tools to install replacement parts on air conditioning units and refrigeration systems. I work under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed.
