Responsibilities: * The candidate must be a strong senior developer that is comfortable learning a COTS product and developing subject matter expertise, tackling challenges sometimes without a log of guidance or information, and collaborating in a fast-pace, highly visible team environment. * The primary responsibilities of this role require maintaining and enhancing complex operational software systems, interacting with Government project leadership on priorities, developing task estimates, and providing input to Government roadmaps. * Other activities include conducting upgrades, debugging existing software and correcting defects; integrating existing software into new or modified systems and operating environments; investigating and analyzing user problems and identifying potential solutions. * Experience with JavaScript and SQL. * Understanding of Linux server environment. * Willingness to embrace challenges and seek to become and expert in the products. * Experience with COTS integration. * Experience developing and updating technical documentation. * Skilled in problem solving and troubleshooting computer systems and software. #divergent Here's what you'll need: * Active TS/SCI with Poly * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. OR
Seven (7) years of experience in software development/engineering may be substituted in lieu of a degree. * Three (3) years of experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. * Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements. * Investigate and analyze system and user problems to identify potential solutions or fixes. * Debug existing software and correct defects. * Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments. * Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards. * Develop, modify, and implement algorithms to address system performance or functional issues in operational systems. * Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components. * Write or review software and system documentation. * Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, confer with users or system engineers; analyze systems flow, data usage and work processes; and investigate problem areas. * Modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance. * Design, develop and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design. * Design or implement complex database or data repository interfaces/queries. Preferred: * Experience closely collaborating with the Government customer. * Proficiency in programming languages as SQL, Java, JavaScript, or others commonly used in Archibus development. * Strong database skills, knowledge of databases like Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL would be beneficial. * Experience managing systems hosted in virtual environments such as AWS. * Experience with agile development methodologies. * Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite including Confluence & Jira. * Experience with Archibus and Integrated Workplace Management System.
