Mission Systems Integration Engineer with Security Clearance

GridironIT is seeking a Mission Systems Integration Engineer local to the Arlington, VA area. Secret clearance is required. The Opportunity: As a mission systems engineer, you know leading-edge weapons, sensor, and communications systems are critical to national defense. Here, you can use your engineering expertise to develop next-generation defense tools and technology. We need your skills and expertise in mission and avionics systems to develop creative solutions that directly impact the warfighter. As an aerospace engineer on our team, you'll provide expertise in evaluating new technologies, performing risk assessments, and improving the design of aerospace systems. Your experience in technology transition planning and DoD acquisition processes is key and makes you an integral part of delivering a client-focused solution. In this role, you'll contribute to the direction of mission-critical solutions by evaluating, improving, and designing leading-edge aerospace and naval technology. You'll work with a large community of aerospace and naval engineers across the firm and collaborate with clients to deliver world-class solutions to support the development and design of advanced mission and avionics systems within a DoD acquisition program. You will apply systems engineering and acquisition knowledge along with advanced consulting skills and extensive technical expertise to develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Your engineering knowledge will help expand and improve F-35 capabilities to protect national security and the warfighter. You Have: * 5+ years of experience with engineering in integration of aircraft weapons, communications, sensor systems, or technical position * Experience with DoD acquisition processes, requirements development, and technology transition and insertion planning * Secret clearance * Bachelor's degree Nice If You Have: * Experience with 4th or 5th Generation U.S. tactical aircraft * Experience with Earned Value Management * Ability to work independently and in support of an integrated product team * Ability to communicate effectively * Possession of strong requirements management skills * Possession of strong organizational skills * Top Secret clearance Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
