Overview We are seeking a talented Mid-Level Software Development Engineer to join our Software Development Services team. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in software development practices, with experience in conceiving, specifying, designing, programming, documenting, testing, and bug fixing to create and maintain applications, frameworks, and software components. Additionally, the candidate should have proficiency in utilizing Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) to enhance productivity and contribute to the software development lifecycle. Responsibilities * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and contribute to the design and development of software applications, frameworks, and components. * Utilize Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) to efficiently develop, edit, and test software code, while leveraging built-in capabilities for debugging, building, and packaging. * Participate in code reviews, identify areas for improvement, and implement best practices to ensure code quality, performance, and maintainability. * Work closely with senior engineers to learn and grow in software development methodologies, design patterns, and industry best practices. * Assist in the documentation of software solutions, including technical specifications, design documents, and user manuals. * Support testing efforts by writing unit tests, conducting integration testing, and troubleshooting software defects. * Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends, and actively contribute to the adoption of new tools and practices within the team. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. * 2-5 years of experience in software development, with exposure to conceiving, specifying, designing, programming, documenting, testing, and bug fixing. * Familiarity with Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) such as IntelliJ IDEA, Visual Studio Code, Eclipse, or similar tools. * Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Java, Python, C++, or similar. * Basic understanding of software development methodologies and design principles. * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to learn new technologies and concepts quickly. * Effective communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. * Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) is a plus. * Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and platforms is desirable but not required. Target salary range: $94,000 - $164,000. Final compensation will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to your skills, experience, education, and/or certifications.
