Duties As a Supervisor Industrial Security Specialist you will be responsible for the following duties:-Serves as the Operations Chief overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the International and Special Programs division -Represent DCSA on matters related to issues in National Industrial Security Program; responsible for advice and assistance provided by mission elements under his/her control to stakeholders involving all security disciplines with focus on International and Special Access Program security -Assists with overseeing/managing the mission element responsible for representing DCSA in international matters, such as meetings, conferences, and visits to other countries conducted under the National Military Disclosure Committee; providing direct representation when required -Assists with overseeing and managing the mission element responsible for performing liaison activities, on an as needed basis, for the dissemination of industrial security policy to foreign governments; providing direct support when required -Provides support to Assistant Director, IS as he/she represents DCSA on all appropriate committees, working groups, or task forces established to formulate, coordinate, and/or issue national level Industrial Security guidance or to review, discuss, and recommend policies and procedures -Provides support to other directorates through advisories, regulations, staff visits, reports, seminars, conferences, and training -Maintains liaison with contractor associations concerned with the NISP and its requirements on industry Requirements Conditions of Employment * Must be a US citizen * Selective Service Requirement: Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service. The incumbent will be required to report to the office on a routine basis. * If selected, the incumbent must obtain and maintain appropriate security clearance as indicated in job announcement. * Drivers license is required. * Incumbent must successfully attain and maintain the DoD Security Professional Education Development Program (SPeD), Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) * and the Security Asset Protection Professional Certification (SAPPC) and the Industrial Security Oversight Certification (ISOC) within 24 months of being hired. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade GS/GG-13 in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility. Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience. Specialized experience for this position includes: Expert experience providing advice and assistance provided by mission elements under his/her control to stakeholders involving all security disciplines with a focus on International Security, Special Access Program security, and the management of knowledge and data that supports the defense enterprise; Oversee and provide support with meetings, conferences, and visits to other agencies and components executing enhanced security measures; Advanced experience coordinating overall operations plans and programs; Developing security principles with special emphasis in the area of government security oversight at industrial locations; Providing advice to an agency's senior leaders for all matters relating to Special Access Programs (SAP) and international security programs; Applying all aspects of International, NATO and SAP security to include principles contained in the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), International and SAP security directives, instructions, and manuals. Specifically you will be evaluated on the following competencies: 1.
