The Strategic Division (SD) supports high-reliability organizations including Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP), Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, and the Department of Energy (DOE), among others. Our support across our client base is expanding rapidly and encompasses important services, such as data analytics and visualization, threat analysis, risk management, modeling and simulation, cost estimating, earned value management, program management, system engineering, independent evaluation, and High Consequence Event prevention. The Strategic Systems Analysis Group (SSAG) supports government and private sector strategic planning, decision making, and program management. SSAG integrates deep client knowledge, advanced analytics, and subject matter expertise to provide timely and objective technical, operational, programmatic, acquisition, and policy analysis. SPA is hiring a Financial/Program Analyst to support a new and fast paced program for Navy Strategic Systems Programs. Responsibilities The Financial/Program Analyst will provide financial support to the Navy SLCM-N program, focusing on financial planning for the system acquisition and development projects. Responsibilities will include financial planning and coordination of program wide activities; supporting development of integrated budgets and POM submittals, maintaining and updated the NEPS database; and collaborating directly with the program financial team and technical leadership to determine and prioritize objectives. This position is located in Alexandria, VA with some opportunity to travel to client and industry stakeholder locations. Qualifications Required Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Business, Business Management, Finance, Accounting, Science, Engineering, Social Sciences, or a related field. * U.S. Citizen with active DoD clearance, or ability to obtain and maintain clearance. * At least 4 years of relevant work experience, particularly in the areas of finance, accounting, or budget analysis. * Strong analytic skills, critical thinking, and computer skills including experience with data base management and the ability to quickly learn databases used in Navy financial planning/tracking . * Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365. Highly proficient in Excel (pivot tables, charts/graphs, vlookup, and other basic math functions). * Professional knowledge pertaining to Defense procurement and administrative processes. Desired Qualifications: * Detailed experience with NEPS. * Experience/knowledge of Navy acquisition program office organizations and processes. * Experience with the US Navy Budget and PPBE process.
