Duties * You will manage multiple priorities and provide technical recommendations/solutions to complex problems encountered during the administration of the construction contracts. * You will manage the contractor Requests for Information (RFIs) and ensuring timely responses. * You will apply knowledge of construction safety principles and practices in administration of assigned projects to mitigate any safety incidents on the project. * You will populate contract information required in NAVFAC enterprise IT systems (primarily eContracts, but also other systems as necessary). You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. * This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes. * You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases. * You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Performing administrative work to provide material, services, equipment, and contract support for construction projects; 2) Negotiating and administering construction contracts to ensure specifications and quality assurance are in compliance; 3) Oversee maintenance and construction projects (e.g., estimating, planning, execution) to provide quality, timeliness, and cost effectiveness of facilities maintenance projects and services; and 4) Applying the principles, methods, and tools of quality assurance, quality control, process improvement, and reliability used to ensure that a project, system, or product meets requirements and standards.
