Duties * You will oversee the development, testing, operation, implementation, and maintenance of software systems as well as the selection of commercial off-the-shelf software. * You will develop structured testing techniques to conduct application software design analysis. * You will coordinate with customers to address information technology (IT) life cycle needs. * You will resolve information technology (IT) issues by using problem management systems. * You will maintain and ensure the security of information systems, incorporating security throughout software/computer system life cycle. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Designing, documenting, developing, modifying, testing, implementing, and supporting new or existing application software; 2) Testing, monitoring, and evaluating Information Technology technologies during design, development, procurement and/or implementation to ensure internal and external requirements are met; 3) Providing excellent customer service and effectively communicate with stakeholders; and 4) Utilizing the information technology specifications needed to execute tasks to support end user functional requirements. Successful completion of 3 full years (54 hours) of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management; or, graduate education that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
