We need a L4 Network Operations Expert, to drive complex troubleshooting and restoration, the work would be cutting across :

  • Campus Network (both Wired and wireless) for Enterprise and Manufacturing centers, with expertise in Physical and virtual setup.
  • The individual should be good on SDWAN overlay and underlay, specifically Cisco Viptela flavor.
  • And equally strong hold on firewalls and LTM setups.

Key Responsibilities:

Domain Role Coverage

LAN Management: Design, configure, and manage local area networks (LANs) to ensure high availability, reliability, and performance.

Cisco SDWAN Implementation: Deploy and maintain Cisco SDWAN solutions, including edge devices, controllers, policies, and routing protocols.

Wireless Network Optimization: Design, implement, and optimize wireless networks, including access points, controllers, and security protocols (e.g., WPA2, 802.1X).

Firewall Security: Configure, manage, and monitor firewall devices to protect the network from unauthorized access, malware, and other security threats.

F5 Load Balancer: Design, implement, and maintain F5 Load Balancer solutions to optimize traffic distribution, improve application performance, and ensure high availability.

Functional Role coverage

Network Diagnosis: Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot network-related issues, including connectivity problems, network latency, packet loss, and performance bottlenecks.

Root Cause Analysis: Perform in-depth root cause analysis of network problems, assess impact, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and disruptions.

Network Monitoring and Reporting: Implement network monitoring tools, generate performance reports, and conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with security policies and industry standards. Utilize network monitoring tools to proactively monitor Network performance, detect anomalies, and preempt potential issues.

Configuration Management: Review and analyze network configurations, identify misconfigurations or inconsistencies, and recommend adjustments to optimize network performance and security.

Network Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve network issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and disruptions.

Hardware and Software Maintenance: Coordinate with vendors for hardware replacements, upgrades, and firmware/software patches to ensure network reliability and security.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and resolution outcomes. Generate reports on network performance, trends, and incidents.

Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional and Global teams, including network engineers in India, system administrators in US, and support staff at global scale, to resolve escalated network issues, document network configurations, best practices, and procedures, and provide technical guidance and training to team members as needed.

Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in Network troubleshooting. Recommend and implement improvements to enhance network reliability, scalability, and security.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, F5-CA, or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing enterprise networks.
  • Proficiency in Cisco networking technologies, including routers, switches, firewalls, and SDWAN solutions.
  • Experience with wireless networking standards (e.g., 802.11ac, Wi-Fi 6), wireless controllers, and access point deployment.
  • Strong understanding of firewall technologies (e.g., Cisco ASA, Palo Alto Networks), VPNs, IDS/IPS, and network security best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with F5 Load Balancer products (e.g., BIG-IP LTM, GTM) and load balancing algorithms.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple projects simultaneously
