Summary You will serve as a TRAINING INSTRUCTOR for the Naval Education and Training Command at the CENSECFOR DET BRUNSWICK.( school house located in Kittery, ME) Duties * You will create, monitor, maintain, or update data using Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access). * You will attend conferences and make field visits to gather information and determine the scope and content of courses. * You will make presentations in formal or informal training classrooms. * You will analyze issues and provide solutions to administrative or training problems. * You will ensure teaching supplies, equipment, and classrooms are available and functional to create a positive learning environment. * You will write statements of work to support the procurement of training-related products. Requirements Conditions of Employment * Must be a US Citizen. * Must be determined suitable for federal employment. * Must participate in the direct deposit pay program. * New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal. * You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license. * You must be able to work non-standard flexible hours to include overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays. * You will travel by government or personal vehicle (personal vehicle at own expense) to the remote training site approximately 25 times annually. * You shall maintain a high level of physical readiness and be in excellent physical condition with no conditions which would limit full participation in any phase of SERE training. * The incumbent in this billet shall complete a Cardiovascular Endurance Test (CET) semi-annually. The CET will consist of a 2-mile hike with a 30-pound pack over level terrain and shall be completed in less than 30 minutes. * You must comply with and successfully complete initial and recurring psychological evolutions. * Must be a graduate of DOD Level "C" Code of Conduct course/ Survival Evasion Resistance Escape (SERE) school (certificate required) Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
