As a Software Engineer Your responsibilities will encompass collaborating with multifaceted teams to comprehend client requirements, business objectives, and product visions, expediting decision-making processes. By employing contemporary tools (such as CI/CD pipelines) and practices, you will be able to quickly deliver working software into production. You'll collaborate closely with product owners and end-users, making collective decisions to swiftly deliver functional software. Flexing your creative problem-solving skills and embracing uncertainty will be second nature. Required Qualifications: Your proven software development experience (5+ years) is primarily Java-focused. You have hands-on experience building and deploying cloud-based solutions on accredited platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, optimizing resource utilization. Active engagement in code reviews, knowledge-sharing sessions, and mentorship of junior team members is expected. Proficiency in Spring Boot, Angular, and React is essential. Strong communication skills are essential, along with a penchant for a pair-programming environment. Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and proficiency in agile methodologies are key. Development of cloud-native applications should be within your skillset. You are well-acquainted with container technologies like Docker or Kubernetes. Designing, developing, and sustaining container-based, cloud-oriented software solutions in Java and related technologies, adhering to performance, scalability, and security best practices, is a strong suit. Demonstrated competence in creating and deploying cloud-based applications via platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is expected. Proficiency in constructing RESTful APIs and modern software design patterns is a must. Fluency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, and Typescript is important. Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, continuous integration, and continuous deployment (CI/CD) is valued. Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a knack for resolving intricate issues are essential. Both written and verbal communication skills are strong suits, enabling effective collaboration across teams. Your enthusiasm for keeping abreast of industry trends, coupled with your openness to learning and adapting to emerging technologies, sets you apart. Familiarity with the Sponsor's RMF and security compliance frameworks such as NIST 800-53 is advantageous. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes, is highly desirable. Understanding serverless computing and event-driven architectures is an asset. Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform and CloudFormation Familiarity with agile software development methodologies and adeptness with project management tools are beneficial. Knowledge of Linux Operating Systems adds to your qualifications.
