Job Description:
Insight Global is currently seeking a qualified Space Systems Engineer (MBSE) in support of our Intelligence client. This position is on-site in Chantilly, VA. Responsibilities: • Support capability and solution definition for future space systems through various system readiness events and independent review teams
• Support Integrated Product Teams (IPT’s) working groups that will review and assess the maturity of engineering Artifacts, CONOPS, Interfaces, and Architecture products
• Participate in developing architecture and requirement baselines, establishing and assessing mission capabilities
• Provide project management support; development of requirements, project plans, needs assessment, and transition planning.
• Assist in the creation of quantifiable requirements based on customer description, system planning and design, and acquisition logistics
• Assess performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures
• Participate in design reviews of to ensure applicability to the current system and traceability of requirements through compliance verification and validation
• Apply the principles of MBSE to major system acquisitions in the GEOINT domain
• Assess engineering artifacts and develop models of mission systems using a MBSE tool suite that includes DOORS Next Generation, Cameo and other COTS tools
• Participate in collaborative meetings between the GEOINT space system subject matter experts (SMEs) and MBSE and SysML experts to identify and implement modeling solutions Qualifications:
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
• 10 to or more years experience with BS/BA , 7 or more years with MS/MA, or 5 or more years with PhD in Technical degree/STEM (engineering, physics, etc.) • Demonstrated experience in Systems Engineering area(s) including but not limited to: Requirements Engineering, Systems Integration, Risk, Issue, and Opportunity (RIO).
• Domain knowledge of customer's mission capabilities (to include any combination of GEOINT, COMM, SIGINT, and Multi-INT domains) and overall space and ground architecture.
• Experience in supporting Requirements Engineering, CONOPS development, and system integration to accommodate End to End Systems Engineering.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and solve problems to further organizational goals.
• Demonstrated excellent communication skills and the ability to lead/support multiple projects simultaneously.
• Demonstrated ability to support the customer’s needs, clearly communicate (orally & written) ideas, work autonomously.
