Wi-Fi Bluetooth Connectivity Field Test Engineer for Global Consumer Product Company Cupertino, CA

 

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Connectivity Product Tester to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in testing Wi-Fi and Bluetooth products, with a focus on field testing in various environments. This role will require a hands-on approach to validate and optimize connectivity products for real-world usage.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough testing of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth products, with an emphasis on field testing in environments such as hikes, coffee shops, malls, parks, and gyms.
  • Utilize sniffers, analyzers, and other testing tools to assess product performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to identify, report, and resolve defects and inconsistencies in product functionality.
  • Leverage Python scripting for automated testing procedures and data analysis.
  • Compile and maintain detailed test reports, documenting test methodologies, results, and recommendations for improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including lab technicians and other test engineers, to ensure comprehensive product testing.

 

Qualifications:

  • 2-6 years of proven experience in testing Wi-Fi and Bluetooth products, with a strong focus on field testing.
  • Proficient in using sniffer and analyzer tools for testing and troubleshooting.
  • Strong proficiency in Python for scripting and automation.
  • Familiarity with lab testing environments and equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
