MAINTENANCE MECHANIC LEADER with Security Clearance

Summary You will serve as a MAINTENANCE MECHANIC LEADER in the PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT of NAV FACILITIES ENGINEERING COMMAND SE. Duties * You will ensure team is instructed on work requirements, sequence, procedures, and deadlines to be met. * You will ensure that safety and housekeeping rules are followed, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). * You will demonstrate proper work methods. * You will check work in progress and when finished to see that instructions/requirements and deadlines are met. The Screen-out Element for this position is: 1) Providing journey level trade oversight to Electricians, Air-Conditioning Mechanics, Heating/Boiler Plant Equipment Mechanics, Industrial Equipment Mechanics, Electronics Mechanics, Sheet Metal Mechanics, or Welders; 2) Planning, laying out, and completing installation, modification, and repair of systems; and 3) Interpreting building plans, blueprints, wiring diagrams, engineering documents, drawings, and maintenance and repair manuals to plan work.
