Iowa Vocational Rehabilitation Services is seeking a skilled Technical Specialist/Developer to join our team and enhance the Iowa Rehabilitation Services System (IRSS) for case management. This role is pivotal in ensuring our system complies with federal and state security requirements, drawing on industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enhance security features of IRSS, including the integration of new identity access management solutions, data encryption (at rest and in transit), and compliance with federal regulations for audit logging.
• Participate in the development and refinement of project requirements.
• Update web applications, SQL databases, web forms, and other necessary applications.
• Work closely with a team of developers, a project manager, and business analysts to ensure smooth operations and federal compliance.

Ideal Candidate: A full-stack developer with a robust background in security, particularly in developing security projects.

Technical Skillset:

• Languages and Frameworks: C#, ASP.NET, MVC, JavaScript, HTML, .NET Framework
• APIs: Web API (ASP.NET), SOAP, REST
• Database: SQL, T-SQL, SQL Server
• Tools: SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Profiler, Database Engine Tuning Advisor, Team Foundation Server (TFS), Business Intelligence Development Studio (BIDS), Visual Studio

Job Requirements:

• ASP.NET Development: Minimum 8 years of experience.
• Event Logging and Auditing: Proven experience in integrating event logging and auditing for applications.
• Data Protection: Experience in safeguarding data both in transit and at rest.
• Database Programming: Minimum 8 years of experience developing business applications and writing complex T-SQL queries against SQL Server.
• Business Requirements Translation: Ability to convert business requirements into technical specifications.
• T-SQL Development: Proficient in developing views, stored procedures, functions, and indexing techniques.
• Dynamic SQL: Experienced in coding and troubleshooting dynamic SQL stored procedures.
• ETL Development: Experience in designing and developing ETL routines using T-SQL and SSIS.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging capabilities.
• Data Visualization: Experience in developing data visualizations and reporting.
• Testing: Ability to create test data and thoroughly test T-SQL code.
• Time Management: Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.

Preferred Experience:

• Okta Integration: Experience in integrating Okta and providing support for updates to Active Directory (AD).
