Seeking a new opportunity in the Watertown area? Don’t miss this role Doherty Staffing Solutions is partnering with a leading manufacturing company in Watertown, SD. We are seeking candidates for CNC Machine Operator roles on the 1st shift. Hours for this position are from 3:30am-2:00pm, Monday through Thursday. Compensation for these temp opportunities ranges between $18.00-$19.50 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Interested? Read below
What a CNC Machine Operator will do:
  • Measure the dimensions of the finished workpiece to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures
  • Listen to machines during operation to detect sounds such as those made by dull cutting tools or excessive vibration and notify appropriate personnel
  • Stop machines from removing finished workpieces, or change the tolling setup, or workpiece placement, according required machine practices
  • Lift workpieces to machines manually, or with hoists or cranes
  • Insert control instructions into machine control units to start the operation
  • Maintain all environmental, health, safety, policies, and procedures for the work area
What you need to be a CNC Machine Operator:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Knowledge of appropriate procedures for using specific equipment or machines to meet defined quality and quantity standards
  • Ability to continuously lift up to 20 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow written work instructions and procedures
  • Must be quality-oriented and demonstrate the ability to produce results that meet or exceed set standards
  • Customer-focused attitude and ability to build and maintain customer satisfaction #worknow
