Planning & Inventory Assistant

Position: Planning & Inventory Assistant

Location: Onsite Only

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 30-40 hrs. per week (start time between 8 - 9 am)

Hourly Rate: $18.00-$19.00/hr

Company Overview: Join Carpenter Technology, a leading manufacturer in the Latrobe area, dedicated to delivering high-quality products. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Planning & Inventory Assistant to join our team for a temporary assignment.

Job Description: As a Planning & Inventory Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our manufacturing operations by assisting with planning, inventory management, and clerical tasks. Your responsibilities will include:

Primary Responsibilities for an Inventory Specialist:
  • Prepare and assemble paperwork for manufacturing work orders.
  • Create production tickets for certain manufactured products in SAP system.
  • Enter and verify goods receipts for completed work orders into SAP system.
  • Enter goods receipts for external services into SAP system.
  • Enter goods receipts for customer-owned inventory into SAP system.
  • Input data into Excel spreadsheets.
  • Deliver work tickets to various departments.
Preferred Qualities for an Inventory Specialist:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in mathematics.
  • Experience with Excel or similar spreadsheet software.
  • Ability to perform quality work under time constraints.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Previous experience working with Excel is preferred.
Education and Experience for an Inventory Specialist:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Clerical experience is necessary to excel in this role.
