RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce's client, a growing company in Teaneck, NJ is seeking a Payroll Associate.Key Tasks:
  • Payroll Associate will be responsible for end-to-end bi-weekly payroll processing for a multi-state organization utilizing ADP
  • Responsible for processing, reviewing, and approving the payroll for salaried and hourly, full-time, and part-time union and non-union employees and ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing for all employees
  • Process union dues, health and welfare, and pension on monthly basis
  • Stay up-to-date with payroll laws, regulations, and tax requirements to ensure compliance
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll-related matters in a timely and professional manner
  • As a Payroll Associate, you will assist in the preparation of payroll journal entries
  • Work with ADP in the preparation of payroll-related documents, such as W-2 forms and payroll tax filings
  • Assist in the payroll related projects, such as annual workers compensation insurance enrollment and audit, 401k audits

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors in Accounting, Business or related field (preferred)
  • Certified Payroll Professional (preferred)
  • 3-7 years of experience overseeing the entire payroll process in a multi-state environment
  • Highly competent end-user of relevant office technologies, software, and systems
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and HRIS software skills; ADP experience preferred
  • Detail oriented, accurate, organized and capable of prioritizing workload of multiple tasks and deadlines
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and tax requirements
  • Able to communicate effectively with diverse audiences and work successfully in a team environment
  • High degree of professionalism, discretion, and ability to maintain confidential information
  • Superior organizational, problem solving and critical thinking skills to include process creation and process revision

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.

Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
