What you will do as a Boat Prep Associate:
  • Carry various sizes of metal, wood, and carpet pieces to and from workstations
  • Apply glue to metal, wood, and carpet pieces using an air gun
  • Adhere carpet to metal and wood pieces using hands to compress, stretch, and pull carpet
  • Trim excess carpet from metal and wood pieces using scissors and/or a utility knife
  • Staple carpet to wooden pieces using a pneumatic stapler
  • Preassembles hardware using an air rivet gun, bucker, or air drill
  • Operate wood router and carpet cutter
  • Install frames (both by screwing and adhesive)
  • Sand wood and plastic and sealing seats
  • Maintain a clean work area
  • Pick aluminum parts and store them in proper locations around the plant
What you need to be a Boat Prep Associate:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to perform all essential functions of the position with or without accommodations
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to follow written and oral communication
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
