With the rugged user in mind, American Augers rigs are built to last and backed by 24-hour worldwide support.

​“A” SHIFT: (4) 10-hour days, Monday -Thursday (as needed O/T on Friday)

What Does an American Augers Welder Do?

  • Hand weld components used to build equipment.

  • Read information from blueprints, technical manuals, or other documents.

  • Set up fixtures, mounting parts in fixtures, and perform mechanical assembly.

  • Use a hoist to lift and position large, heavier components and completed weldments.

  • Set up, adjust, and operate MIG welding equipment to weld machine components.

  • Remove components from fixtures, clean and check them for quality, correct errors or defects of weldments.

  • Use a computer to check the location, inventory, routing of parts, and to record inventory transactions.

  • Don PPE including a welding hood, gloves, and sleeves, safety glasses, face shields and hearing protection

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Elements We Look For:

  • MIG weld experience, or completed a formal weld training program, or the equivalent in training and experience.

  • Ability to pass required entry-level plate test for production welding.

  • Mechanical skills, including experience using hand and air-powered tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, hammers, etc.).

  • Appropriate reading, clerical, and basic math skills.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
