Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking the best Texas licensed Nurse Practitioners (NPs) with Hospitalist experience available for ongoing locum tenens coverage in Lufkin, Texas beginning in July.

We are seeking providers available to join our well-established team of Board Certified professionals for 12-hour day shifts for long-term locum tenens scheduling throughout 2024. Our top-rated facility is staffed by the best multidisciplinary team in Texas with an incredible support staff to best serve our patients.

To continue providing the best care possible and ensure our program performs at peak efficiency, we are in need of additional stellar Hospitalist Medicine Nurse Pracititoners to join our locum tenens rotation. Think you might be a fit?

Opportunity Specifics:
  • Contract Type: Nurse Practitioner - Hospitalist Locum Tenens
  • Hospital Beds: 271-Bed Hospital
  • ICU: 24-Bed Open ICU
  • Codes: Will Respond w/ Rapid Response Team - EM and Intensivist Backup
  • No Procedures
  • Admissions: Round Robin Admission Model
  • Hospitalist Team: 4 Day Rounding Physicians w/ APP, 1 Nocturnist
  • Shift Schedule: 12-hour Shifts
    • Day: (7:00am – 7:00pm)
      • Census: Average 18-20 Patients
      • Average Admits: 15
    • Nocturnist: (7:00pm – 7:00am)
      • Average Admits: 8
    • Advanced Practice Provider: (7:00am - 7:00pm)
  • EMR: Paragon

Provider Requirements:
  • Certified Nurse Practitioner
  • Active Texas State License & Unrestricted DEA
  • Clear Professional & Personal Background
  • Certifications: BLS and ACLS
  • Recent Ongoing Hospitalist Medicine Experience
  • 6+ Shifts per Month Availability
