Data Center Technician

TEKsystems has a need for a Data Center Technician to work in the Cincinnati area in a NIGHT SHIFT capacity. Looking for someone who wants to move into a fulltime role.

HOURS: 9:30 PM to 5:30 AM Sunday through Thursday (5 nights)

MUST HAVE solid datacenter skills such as cabling/rack/stack/layer 1 troubleshooting. Must be detail oriented and able to work alone. 

JOB DUTIES:

  • Navigate a data center (row/aisle/rack/equipment)
  • Identify ports/equipment
  • Use labeling printers
  • Detail oriented
  • Install patch cords based on spreadsheets (to/from)
  • Run/install cabling with best data center standards (need/maintain bend radius/etc)
  • Use of test equipment when required a plus (Fluke)
  • Must be able to work individually as well as report directly to customer management
