IMMEDIATE OPENING FOR Direct Hire Purchasing Agent $45000 to $55000 a year

PeopleShare is seeking a Purchasing Agent to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of general purchasing experience. Working knowledge of construction materials, specifically pipe, fitting, and valves.

Job Details for Purchasing Agent:
  • Purchasing Agent Schedule:
    • 1st Shift Monday to Friday
  • Purchasing Agent Pay Rate:
    • $45000 to $55000 a year
Job Responsibilities for Purchasing Agent:
  • The Purchasing Agent obtains requirements by verifying, preparing, and forwarding purchase orders; verifies receipt of items; authorizes payment.
  • Prepares, verifies, and places purchase orders based on business requirements.
  • Monitors a system to maintain inventory levels and availability.
  • Resolves issues related to inventory returns, replacements, and credit arrangements.
Job Requirements for Purchasing Agent:
  • Two (2) years of general purchasing experience.
  • Working knowledge of construction materials, specifically pipe, fittings, and valves, along with general building materials.
  • Advanced negotiating and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs, specifically Word and Excel.
