Job Summary:

In Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) we integrate, verify, and validate our products. We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. To accomplish this we develop plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, develop test environments, and work hand-in-hand with our customers.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform functional leadership for a team of approximately 15 employees:
    • Establishing meaningful goals and managing performance
    • Ensure employee compliance with company policy and procedure
    • Communication of business objectives
    • Mentoring employees and fostering their career growth
    • Recognition of employee contributions
  • Supporting department and discipline initiatives
  • Perform programmatic and technical scope at the principal engineer grade, aligned with the efforts in the HWIL
  • Collaborating with the department leadership team to ensure shared goals are successfully achieved
  • Obtain and maintain access as required by program
  • Manage HWIL staffing for the Programs within your section which includes updating Team Strength, updating Department staffing demand, supporting development of requisition for new positions, supporting interviews and onboarding new members into the Section

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations .
  • Experience leading a multi-disciplined team.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management
  • Active and transferrable US Government issued Secret Clearance is required prior to start date. US citizenship is required, as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with the development, integration and validation of environmental generation equipment used in a real-time hardware-in-the-loop simulation facility
  • Experience with providing performance feedback within a matrix organization
  • Experience communicating difficult messages to internal or external stakeholders
  • Experience identifying and implementing process improvements

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
