This Individual will be required to apply their expert knowledge to ensure best practices and well-engineered architecture across both the public cloud platforms GCP and AWS. It will require an extensive and deep understanding of cutting-edge practices and innovative approaches to problems. The individual will create efficiencies and automation guidance within day-to-day operations and support the teams towards success. The ideal candidate will have a positive, customer focused personality and a willingness to bring new technologies to the environment. Additionally, the Cloud Platform Architect will be responsible for ensuring that critical applications are designed and optimized for high availability and disaster recovery.What You'll Do | Key AccountabilitiesDesigns and implements architectural solutions using GCP / AWS design principles and architectural best practices and industry standardsLeads and delivers large architectural initiatives that solve key customer needsPassionate towards Infrastructure as a Code and automating everything inside Cloud platform.Research new and emerging cloud technologies and how to secure themDevelop and maintain plans to ensure successful recovery of operating systems in the event of a disasterDefine/deploy mechanisms to monitor system integrity, protection levels, and security related eventsBe a trusted SME, and consult with product and internal partners to create new product featuresDefine the business case for new solutions, design the solution to prototype, and take the solution through to launch and marketYou have the ability to work with anyone at any level, including internal security and operations teams, product leaders and managers, go-to-market teams, customers and partnersGuides and coaches less experienced peers to become more productive and effective team membersSkills & ExperienceOver 10+ years of experience working in IT infrastructure and Programming.8+ years of experience architecting, securing, operating, or developing cloud solutions (GCP, AWS or Azure) in large scale, and ideally, multi-cloud environments.5+ years of development and automation experience in a programming language such as Python or Go in a DevOps or SRE in the past, or have created architectures or solutions that have manipulated cloud infrastructure programmaticallyExperience with highly available and fault-tolerant enterprise and web-scale software deployments desiredExperience in successfully implementing multiple enterprise solutions in the cloud using a vast range of cloud technologies and appropriate cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, AliCloud).Has Stakeholder Management experience, specifically, has guided and influenced technical and commercial Director/VP stakeholder relationships.Non-technical - Adept at strategic planning with understanding how to identify business needs, problems, and risks.Strong practical Linux and Windows-based systems administration skills in a Cloud (AWS, Azure, Google) or Virtualized environment.Experience leading cloud operations, including disaster recovery, data assurance, monitoring, alerting and notifications.Deep understanding of Cloud computing technologies and workload transition challengesKnowledge of GCP / AWS Well Architected Framework and Cloud migration industry standards and best practicesWork Environment, Physical & Mental DemandsAbility to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of timeAbility to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach dailyAble to lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally or frequently as neededAble to stand and walk, climb ladder and work under varying conditions and spaces.Maintain physical activity and movements as requiredAbility to work at least 40 hours per week from the Houston Corporate OfficeCOVID-19 Vaccine PolicyTailored Brands requires all Corporate & Shared Services employees either (a) establish that they have been fully vaccinated; or (b) obtain an approved reasonable accommodation exempting them from this requirement due to a medical reason, or because of a sincerely held religious belief or practice, as a condition of employment.
