Scholastic Book Fairs ConsultantScholastic Book Fairs are wondrous in-person experiences that empower kids to discover books for themselves. Fairs bring entire communities together. We are currently in search of Fair Consultants to help grow the Book Fair business. In addition to the base rate, Scholastic offers a Sales Compensation program which includes the opportunity to earn seasonal and annual incentives. Base Hourly Range: $22.00 to $26.00.Qualified candidate will be able to achieve budgeted Fair Counts, net revenue and overall sales program goals in assigned territory through effective execution of the sales and servicing methods of the company. They will support our mission to encourage reading and promote lifelong learning and demonstrate our values of caring and respect for all people.Flex Fair Consultant is responsible for maximizing Book Fair penetration by effectively prospecting new schools and by building strong customer relationships to maintain Fair rebooking rates. Sharp planning skills will minimize cancellations and optimize event schedules, ensuring smooth operations and maximized profits. Ultimately, you'll be a passionate advocate for reading, igniting a love for books within every school you serve. This role does not have an assigned area but will support the territory pod as a whole until an opening becomes available.Job Responsibilities:Revenue Growth: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and maximize sales opportunities within the assigned territory.Customer Account Maintenance and Growth: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to understand their needs, preferences, and challenges.Relationship Building: Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and influencers within customer organizations.Territory Management: Effectively manage territory activities, including prospecting, lead generation, pipeline management, and sales forecasting.Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.Qualifications:Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Sales Acumen: Understanding of sales techniques, negotiation skills, and closing strategies.Customer Relationship Management: Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers.Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills including presentation and telephone skills with an aptitude for customer relationship building.Time Management and Organization: Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.Additional Skills: Proficiency with MS Office software, SalesForce/CRM technology and telecommuting software such as Zoom, WebEx, Microsoft Teams or Google Meet.Experience:Minimum of two (2) years of proven successful sales experience in telephone sales, personal selling, and customer service.Proven track record of success in sales, with a focus on revenue growth and customer relationship management.Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or related field.Job Type: Regular SeasonalJob Family Group: SalesLocation Region/State: FloridaEEO Statement: Scholastic is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
