Medical Assistant IIThe University of Iowa Community Clinics is seeking a patient centered 80 % (32 hours a week) Medical Assistant II (MA II) to work at our UICC Tipton Clinic. This position will mainly support our Family Medicine Clinics but could float to other patient specialties/clinic locations including but not limited to: Pediatrics and/or Specialty/Outreach Clinics.For over 100 years, Iowa Healthcare's primary focus has been the health and wellness of our patients. One weekday off per week. No weekends, holidays, or on-call time required.Location: Tipton, IA (or surround clinics based on clinical need or hours)Pay Grade: 9Salary: $40,903.92 - $60,760.80 (at 100% time)/ Hourly: $19.59 - $29.10 (based on years of experience)Minimum Eligibility Requirements:Certification OR registration as a Medical Assistant OR completion of a recognized one-year Medical Assistant Program, OR Completion of a health care profession program with a curriculum incorporating elements of a Medical Assistant program including but not limited to: pathophysiology, medical terminology, basic pharmacology and medication administration including dose calculation and psychology.Special Qualification/License:Driver's License and ability to meet UI Fleet Safety Standards.Availability to provide support to other clinical locations based on clinical need/hoursExcellent written and verbal communication skills.Highly Desired Requirements:Ability to demonstrate teamwork and autonomy in all aspects of the role.Strong phlebotomy skills.Desirable Qualifications:Previous EPIC experience.Minimum 6 months ambulatory experience.Previous immunization experience.Previous phlebotomy experience.Previous experience with lab auditsPrevious experience handling and processing lab specimensStaff may be required to receive a passing score on work samples to be considered for this positionIn order to be considered, applicants must upload resume (under submission relevant materials) that clearly address how they meet the listed required and desired qualifications of this position.Job openings are posted for a minimum of 10 calendar days.
