We are seeking a passionate team member that will work troubleshooting and implementing a LAN/WAN network with multiple protocols, switches, routes and application servers. Someone who will maintain adequate knowledge of existing hardware and software in use to maximize efficiency of the network and users' utilization of them. 


  1. Administer and configure file/print, database, e-mail and web servers in a standalone and virtualized environment
  2. Configure network switches and administer firewall local and remote firewalls
  3. Manage desktops, user accounts and permissions.
  4. Manage daily backups and media rotation, and participate in routine disaster recovery tests and procedure improvements.
  5. Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade and support of all IT systems, including telecommunications, servers, PCs, operating systems, hardware, software, peripherals and office equipment.
  6. Benchmark, analyze, report on and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and IT systems.
  7. Research and recommend new network architectures to improve performance, storage and reliability.
  8. Keep current with the latest technologies and remain on the forefront of emerging industry practices.
  9. Build, repair and troubleshoot workstation and server hardware.
  10. Assess software that will aide in the administration of the network.
  11. Provide support/training to local and remote user personnel as required and perform software   upgrades and OS migration as necessary.
  12. Assist in the development and implementation of new technology systems designed to meet business goals in other departments.
  13. Manage VPN’s and VoIP inter-office communication.
  14. Ability to work nights, weekends and on-call basis as needed.
  15. Carry out other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.


EDUCATION/DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE & TRAINING

 Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Computer Science or related field of study and equivalent professional experience (three or more years) working in a Microsoft environment of at least 50 users with strong AD, and GPO, and Virtualization skills.

Networking and infrastructure experience is a plus


          

Required Technical Skills:


 Microsoft Windows Servers (2014+) in an Active Directory environment.

 Microsoft Windows 10 operating system

Microsoft Exchange 2013 and Office 365 in a Hybrid environment.

Microsoft Windows Software Update Services 3.0

Microsoft Office

VMWare vSphere 6 and up,

Fortigate firewalls, or similar

Dell Powerconnect, HP E-series switches or other managed switches.

  • Bitdefender or similar centrally managed client security software
  • SQL query writing, server administration, SSRS/SSIS 2008R2 report writing and package creation experience a major plus.
  • ERP (Blue Cherry).
