Today, we are still dedicated to the highest levels of work and client satisfaction, standing steadfast to our corporate motto of finding "Innovative and State of the Art Solutions".We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer within our Farmingdale, Long Island, NY office.ResponsibilitiesThe ideal candidate must have strong quantitative skillsets to support municipal projects in the northeast, primarily on Long Island. You will support, drive, and manage the development of projects, interact, and work directly with clients, and develop your technical and project management capabilities. Manage tasks/projects and clients' expectations for the planning, design and construction of various Infrastructure, Roadway, pavement section design, drainage system design Water/Wastewater treatment plants, storm water systems, distribution/collection systems, and/or pump/lift stations, vertical and horizontal alignments. As well as creating construction documents, specifications, and handling construction oversight/administration.Qualifications5-15+ years experience in municipal road and drainage design and construction. Waterfront improvement experience is a plus.P.E. in New York State is requiredBachelors in Civil Engineering or similar degreeMust be familiar with municipal contractsExperience with managing a team of engineersExperience with interfacing with engineering, and drafting support disciplinesExperience with client interfacingExcellent verbal and written communication skillsACAD experience a plusBenefitsM&J is a leader in providing quality engineering consulting services to a diverse and exciting client base.
