Position Overview:
At Senior Helpers South Orange County, we’re looking for compassionate caregivers to make a difference in the lives of the elderly by providing essential personal care and companionship. This part-time role offers flexibility with 3-4 hour shifts, Monday through Friday, between 8 AM and 2 PM. Key Responsibilities:

  • Be a Hero Every Day: Assist clients with daily personal care activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, ensuring their dignity and comfort.
  • Spread Joy: Provide companionship, engage clients in meaningful conversations, and participate in activities that bring joy and fulfillment.
  • Health Guardian: Monitor clients' well-being and report changes in health conditions, providing the first line of support when needed.
  • Medication Support: Administer medications as prescribed, keeping precise records to ensure accuracy.
  • Home Harmony: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living space by assisting with light housekeeping duties.
  • Communication Star: Effectively communicate with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless and coordinated care.

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • No professional experience needed, but 1+ year of caregiver experience or related healthcare experience is preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Clear background check and drug screening.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform various caregiving tasks.
  • Strong communication skills, patience, and a compassionate attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and follow care plans, as well as stay connected with office staff.
  • Comfort with using technology for documentation purposes.
