Now, we're looking for a dedicated and motivated Infrastructure Engineer to join our team and help us deliver excellence to our customers in Huntington, WVWe are currently looking for a dynamic full-time Infrastructure Engineer to join the team in Huntington, WV.Supervisory Responsibilities:May provide guidance and oversight to technical support staff during network-related projects or troubleshooting efforts.Collaborate with other IT professionals, including system administrators, cybersecurity specialists, technical support staff, and external vendors.Duties/Responsibilities:Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.Install, configure and maintain telephony and video related hardware and software, including IP based PBX, phones, and video endpoints.Monitor network performance to ensure availability and reliability, identifying and resolving bottlenecks and connectivity issues.Manage and troubleshoot LAN/WAN infrastructure, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, and other network services.Implement and enforce network security policies, firewall configurations, and access control standards.Provide support and resolution for escalated network-related service requests.Create and maintain detailed documentation including network diagrams, configurations, and procedures.Conduct regular network performance evaluations and propose necessary upgrades.Assist in planning and implementing disaster recovery and backup solutions.Stay current on emerging network technologies, protocols, and security threats.Participate in IT projects and assist in system upgrades, software rollouts, and infrastructure planning.Install, configure, and maintain video surveillance and security camera systems.Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards related to IT infrastructure and security.Performs other duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities:Solid understanding of networking protocols, concepts, and services (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, etc.).Proficiency with Cisco, Extreme Networks, or similar network equipment.Proficiency with IP-based telephony technologies.Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills in both hardware and software networking issues.Familiarity with security tools and protocols including firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion prevention systems.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to support end users and cross-functional teams.Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.Proficient in documentation and technical writing.Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience required.Minimum of two (2) years of hands-on experience in network administration, network support, or a similar role.Experience with LAN/WAN environments, TCP/IP protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless technologies.Prior work with Microsoft Windows Server (2008 and newer), Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and group policies preferred.Familiarity with Cisco routers, switches, and other network appliances is highly desirable.Physical Requirements:Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.Must be able to crawl under desks or into server closets to run cables and perform hardware installation or maintenance.Occasional travel to remote sites for network maintenance, installations, or troubleshooting.Our Benefits Are ElectrifyingWe don't just offer competitive pay, we provide a benefits package that will charge up your career, including:Comprehensive Healthcare Coverage: UHC Medical/Prescription/Dental plans, Garner Health services, and VSP Vision for eye care.Health Savings Account (HSA): Through Optum, take advantage of tax-advantaged savings for medical expenses.Disability and Life Insurance: Coverage provided by Mutual of Omaha for peace of mind.TextCare & Wellness Program: Stay connected with healthcare providers and maintain your well-being.Retirement Savings Plans: 401K and Roth IRA plans, plus Profit Sharing opportunities.Flexible Paid Time Off to help you maintain a healthy work-life balance.Tuition Reimbursement & Education Assistance for lifelong learning.Weekly Pay with Direct Deposit for added convenience.Employee Discounts and Purchase Benefits, because we value youA Career with State Electric is More Than Just a JobIt's a CommunityAt State Electric Supply Co., we're not just in the business of selling products, we're in the business of building lasting relationships.
