Energy Marshal- Data Center/ Mission CriticalOur Superintendent is responsible for the installation and implementation of large-scale electrical projects.Helix Electric was founded in 1985 and is now one of the nation's largest and most successful electrical contracting companies. We are proud of the team-oriented and employee-empowered business approach that defines our unique character.Essential functions include:Reviewing the Electrical Energization Safety Program with the electrical contractor and commissioning authorityOrganizing and scheduling safety meetings before specific sites are energizedCompliance analysis of all field hands in an energized settingWork based on NFPA 70E, OSHA, or an accepted qualified electrical safety training standardReviewing craft labor and sub-contractor AHAsConfirming receipt of rigorous lock out tag out protocolsTracking and confirming all required QA/QC is complete and documentation has been submittedReviewing the daily Pre-Task Plan for energization activitiesImplementing daily safety briefing for pre work for on field daily tasksConfirming all pre-energization steps have been completedDaily site walks with energizing staffPerforming end-of-day walks to ensure all equipment and hot points are secure and safeConfirming adequate signage and barriers are installed for electrical rooms and spaces with energized equipmentConfirming an adequate access control plan is in place for electrical rooms and spaces with energized equipmentDevelop and maintain master energization scheduleEnforce LOTO ProceduresDevelop a safe and secure energy isolation planRequired education and experience:BA/BS + 5 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or educationAble to understand the safe installation of electrical equipment and various voltages, equipment types, and AC/DC systemsKnowledge of pressurized mechanical lines, compressed gas and airExperience in construction and electrical commissioning standards and practicesExperience communicating complex technical solutions and concepts to engineers and non-engineersEnsure audit site practices against written standards as part of assurance roleAbility to interpret line drawings and system redundancies to ensure design of LOTO systems are 100% effective and in compliance with customer standardsHelix Electric is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer committed to diversity in our workforce.
