Director Of The Una Education Research And Inservice CenterThe Director of the UNA Education Research and Inservice Center (ERIC) provides strategic leadership, operational oversight, and accountability for the center and its programs and services. The role advances high-quality professional learning for P12 educators and leaders across Northwest Alabama in collaboration with school districts, the Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE), and the College of Education and Human Sciences (COEHS). The Director partners with districts to identify needs; coordinates and evaluates center programs and services; ensures fiscal integrity and compliance; and supports college recruitment and retention efforts.Minimum qualifications:Doctorate is preferred.Master's degree in Education is required.Five (5) years of highly successful school- or system-level instructional leadership experience is required.Three (3) years of P12 classroom teaching experience is required.Experience supervising professional staff and coordinating multi-program budgets, preferred.Prior leadership with state or regional professional learning initiatives (e.g., AMSTI, ASIM, ATIM) or comparable programs, preferred.Licenses, certifications, or registrations:Current, valid, and unencumbered Alabama Professional Educator Certificate or comparable educator license from any US state or territory is required.Current, valid driver's license is required.Knowledge, skills, and abilities:Demonstrated ability to lead complex, grant-funded educational programs with accountability for results.Skills in building and sustaining partnerships with superintendents, district leaders, and school administrators.Experience with program assessment, data use, and continuous improvement activities.Proven budget and personnel management capabilities.Strong technology, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.Knowledge of Alabama curricular initiatives and ALSDE priorities.Regular travel within the Northwest Alabama service region is required.Regional travel and occasional evening/weekend hours are expected to meet program needs.Special instructions to applicants:Applicants must upload a cover letter and resume at the time of application as well as provide contact information for at least three professional/academic references.
