Quality Control Inspector

Overview:
Perform a wide variety of inspection and quality control operations of a visual, dimensional, and functional nature, making necessary critical observations, tests, or competing appropriate documentation as required.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- responsible for ensuring that products or services meet established quality standards and specifications.
- Perform inspections to identify any defects or deviations from quality requirements.
- Quality Inspectors use various tools and techniques to measure and evaluate the quality of materials, components, and finished products.
- Document and report any non-conformities and work closely with production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions. Additionally, they may participate in the development and improvement of quality control processes and procedures.
- Perform inspections on components.
- Perform source inspections at facilities.
- Prepare inspection reports and maintain files of inspection documents.
- Review inspection records received for compliance.
- Maintain inspection and measuring equipment.
- Prepare and coordinate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for nonconforming parts.
- Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
Minimum requirements:
- High School Education or GED
- Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing, quality control, or related field
- Perform dimensional inspections on components and assemblies
- Knowledge in use of precision measuring equipment.
- Experienced dimensional inspection in a manufacturing facility.
- Read & Interpret Design Engineering Drawings.
- Coordinate and assist inspections of material and goods received for compliance with specifications
- Prepare and coordinate Nonconformance Reports (NCR's) for nonconforming parts
- Good oral and written communications.
- Maintain inspection and measuring equipment.
- Experience in Liquid penetrant / Magnetic Particle inspection preferred.
