Responsibilities:

  • Develop precise cost estimates by meticulously analyzing blueprints, specifications, and material quantities for specific trade areas.
  • Collaborate closely with project management to fully understand project scope and requirements.
  • Conduct rigorous reviews to ensure cost estimates are accurate, comprehensive, and aligned with project goals.
  • Contribute to proposal development and client presentations with cost-related insights.
  • Provide expert cost analysis support to project management and business development teams.
  • Evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids for alignment with project specifications and budget.
  • Maintain a detailed database of cost and performance metrics.
  • Work collaboratively with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to refine cost estimates.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in commercial concrete construction.
  • Actively participate in project meetings to contribute to planning and scheduling.


Qualifications:

  • At least five years of estimating experience within the commercial construction sector, with a strong emphasis on concrete construction.
  • Proven track record in preconstruction services, particularly on large-scale, complex projects like airports, stadiums, and convention centers.
  • In-depth knowledge of estimating methodologies, cost management, and material valuation.
  • Proficiency in construction estimating software and quantity take-off tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the construction industry landscape with a commitment to staying informed about industry developments.
