Join our growing team within the Kansas Mobile Solutions division by providing mobile imaging services in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, rehabilitation and long term acute care hospitals.

*Mobile X-Ray Technologist – *_Full Time_

Three 12 hour shifts

No overnight travel, neighboring area locations. Vehicle provided - if you don't live in Wichita you can take vehicle home overnight.

Current registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

Current license with the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts. (KSBHA)

Maintain your registration and licensure by completing 24 hours of C.E. credits every two years

Current C.P.R. provider card. Valid driver's license with a good driving record.

*Job Purpose:
  • The Radiologic Technologist performs x-rays for diagnostic purposes. This position follows established radiologic requirements and regulations to ensure patient care and safety.
*Essential Functions*:

  • Reviews, evaluates and processes developed x-rays, video tapes, or computer-generated information to determine if images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes.
  • Operates or oversees operation of radiologic or magnetic imaging equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes.
  • Positions imaging equipment and adjusts controls to set exposure time and distance, according to specification of examination.
  • Explains procedures and observes patients to ensure safety and comfort during scan.
  • Positions and immobilizes patient on examining table for treatment or examination.
  • Takes thorough and accurate patient medical histories.
  • Keys commands and data into computer to document and specify scan sequences, adjust transmitters and receivers, or photograph certain images.
  • Sets up examination rooms, ensuring that all necessary equipment is ready and adjusts settings or positions of medical equipment.
  • Monitors patients' conditions and reactions, reporting abnormal signs to physician.
  • Records, processes, and maintains patient data or treatment records and prepare reports.
  • Monitors video display of area being scanned & adjusts density/contrast to improve picture quality.
  • Coordinates work with clerical personnel or other technologists.
  • Provides assistance in dressing or changing seriously ill, injured, or disabled patients.
  • Administers medical substances for imaging or other procedures.
  • Collects medical information from patients, family members, or other medical professionals.
  • Collaborates with healthcare professionals to plan or provide treatment, preparation of medications and medical solutions.
  • Informs medical professionals regarding patient conditions and care.
  • Prepares medical supplies or equipment for use.
  • Prepares reports summarizing patient diagnostic or care activities.
  • Records patient medical histories.
  • Enters patient or treatment data into computers.
  • Checks quality of diagnostic images.
  • Monitors patient conditions during treatments, procedures, or activities.
  • Monitors video displays of medical equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  • Verifies all medical activities or operations meet standards.
  • Measures the physical or physiological attributes of patients.
  • Explains medical procedures or test results to patients or family members.
  • Uses radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with government regulations and to ensure safety of patients and staff.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
