Read further to learn how you could help make great things possible not only in your community, but around the world.HDR is looking for a Structural Engineer to join our Building Engineering Services team in either Charlotte, Raleigh, or Atlanta. In the role of Structural Engineer, we'll count on you to:Review structural documents for areas of conflict with all disciplinesWrite and edit structural specifications, select procedures, materials and their respective sizes, and complete necessary calculationsIndependently coordinate the work of the structural design team through the design development and contract document phases of a projectEstablish meetings and participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code complianceConduct design development and contract document work sessions at project site in conjunction with the Project Manager and other disciplinesTake responsibility for coordinating workload through design development and construction document phases to complete the documents on scheduleCoordinate and assist with affected disciplines, with any addendum, requests for information, change proposal requests and change orders, and incorporate agreed-upon changes into the project documentsPerform other duties as neededPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or BS degree in Architectural Engineering; Structural emphasisA minimum of 3 years structural engineer experienceLocal candidates are preferred*LI-SM1Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil or Structural EngineeringProfessional Engineer (PE) licensePrevious structural engineer experienceMicrosoft Office, AutoCAD, RISA, Staad, SAP, Tedds, RAM, ETABS, SAFE or similarPrevious experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firmAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustWhat We Believe HDR is our company.
