Job DetailsJob Location Main Bank - Lubbock, TXPosition Type Full Time  Description **This position can also be offered remote** The Fair Banking Officer is an independent compliance partner who is responsible for working with business units to ensure that the Compliance Risk Management Program (Program) appropriately addresses the regulatory risks relative to fair lending and UDAAP laws and regulations. As a Compliance team member, working within the Compliance function, the Fair Banking Officer will work closely with the Chief Compliance Officer to foster an open and honest risk management and compliance culture across business units and ensure timely reporting and escalation of fair lending and UDAAP regulatory risk issues. The officer will also oversee data collection and analysis as it relates to the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA). Essential Duties Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of fair lending compliance and UDAAP activities in collaboration with business lines and compliance management Support Fair Banking objectives to oversee and assess the enterprise fair banking program relative to policy framework and regulatory requirements and monitor activities and data for compliance Work with external and/or internal resources as needed to perform meaningful analysis at the direction of the Chief Compliance Officer Serve as a Fair Lending, UDAAP, and CRA subject matter expert Participate in management, risk, new product, and project meetings and provide regulatory risk advice Work with business lines to ensure compliance with applicable banking laws, rules, regulations, and supervisory guidance to include ECOA, FHA, UDAAP, FDCPA, FCRA, and the CRA Address any fair banking related complaints in conjunction with the Chief Compliance Officer and/or legal counsel, as necessary Escalate compliance issues and updates to the Chief Compliance Officer, Risk Management and Executive Management Work with the Chief Compliance Officer, assist in coordinating regulatory examinations, advise on Action Plans designed to address pertinent regulatory findings and track timely remediation of the regulatory issues In coordination with the Chief Compliance Officer, identify relevant regulatory updates to report to Compliance management committees and leadership teams Provide support to the Bank's Community Reinvestment Act efforts; assist with regulatory agencies and/or auditors inquiries when necessary. Oversee monitoring of data and technical compliance with CRA. Prepare the required annual filing of CRA activities and submit to regulators. Update the Public File(s) as necessary.
