Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Occupational Therapist: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess their physical, cognitive, and functional abilities. Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments and goals. Use a variety of therapeutic techniques and modalities to address patient needs, including exercises, adaptive equipment, and assistive technology. Provide training on the use of adaptive equipment and techniques to support patient independence. Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, following infection control and safety protocols. Provide supervision and mentorship to occupational therapy assistants as needed. Manage and maintain therapeutic equipment and supplies, ensuring they are used safely and effectively. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of occupational therapy services. All other duties as assigned Qualifications of the Occupational Therapist: Graduate of an occupational therapy assistant curriculum accredited by either the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) or Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE). Hold a valid State Occupational Therapy License.
