ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines
  • Manage the annual budgeting process
  • Provide management with information vital to the decision-making process
  • Manage capital projects and track Capex purchases for correct accounting treatment
  • Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management
  • Review and approve purchase orders and invoices as required
  • Support month end closing process
  • Update monthly Financial Package for assigned plant(s) and present financial results to plant managers
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
  • Additional Controller duties as necessary
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned
  • Update, review, and distribute the operations daily dashboard • Manage the standard cost roll process for assigned plant(s).
  • Track and report on labor efficiency and machine utilization
  • Monitor changes in processes or methods to calculate effects on overall costs • Participate in lean cost saving projects and suggest solutions. Track cost savings after implementation of process improvements
  • Conduct quarterly cycle count audits for accuracy and process compliance
  • Manage, analyze, and report on all inventory levels including raw materials, finished goods, WIP, MRB, and in transit
  • Support the annual PWC audits as needed Other Requirements
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate effectively in difficult situations
  • Must be able to read and write proficiently
  • Must be well versed on all applicable laws
  • Proficient computer use required Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of five years combined experience in accounting and financial management
  • Extensive GAAP and financial reporting technical skills
