We are now seeking Hospice Companion Volunteers to serve within our growing Hospice Division. Give of your time, when time matters most. This is an unpaid volunteer position.

Your Volunteer Role
- Read to your patient, lend a smile, listen to another's life-journey, share the joy of music, a favorite show, or play a card game.
- If you're more comfortable volunteering in an administrative role, we have opportunities at our Corporate Hospice office to give a hand as office team support
- This is a flexible role, and whatever time you have to give is appreciated and will be accommodated

- Leadership is available to confer, consult and advise at any time
- You are encouraged to speak professionally and freely
- You are valued, seen, and heard as a volunteer
- We have a sense of humor, and we know how to use it
Volunteer Responsibilities
- After being contacted, fill out the official application and background check form
- Participate in an interview process
- Participate in an initial volunteer training and orientation
- Spend time serving your assigned patient or fulfilling administrative duties
- Communicate consistently and regularly with your Volunteer Coordinator
- Documentation in EMR
Volunteer Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- Reliable transportation with valid state driver's license and current car insurance
- Kind, compassionate, reliable, and emotionally composed
