Oncology Clinical Pharmacist II

General Summary of Position We are seeking an experienced Oncology Pharmacist to join our dynamic team as a full-time Clinical Pharmacist II. This rewarding position primarily involves day and evening shifts with rotating weekends. In this role, you will collaborate and consult with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, effective, and economically sound prescribing, dispensing, administration, and monitoring of medications. You will utilize your specialized drug knowledge and exhibit exceptional judgment, communication skills, and self-motivation to create positive interventions that improve patient outcomes, building on the foundations of a Clinical Pharmacist I role. Participation in educational programs is essential to provide both basic and advanced services within the Pharmacy Department. You will also perform responsibilities associated with the Clinical Pharmacist I position, including drug distribution, supervision, and other non-dispensing functions. Experience: PGY-1 or 3 years of direct patient care experience in a hospital setting required. Licenses and Certifications: PHARMD - Licensed Pharmacist in Washington, DC required. Board certification required within 1 year of eligibility. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer skills preferred. This position has a hiring range of $118,331 - $230,172.
