Bishop Gold Group is seeking a diligent and analytical Legal/Regulatory In-House Counsel to support our growing organization. This person will be instrumental in ensuring that our Sales team is adhering to all company and legal guidelines. Must have relevant experience auditing communications/transactions in Financial Services and familiarity with SEC/FTC rules and regulations.


*This is an on-site role that reports to the office Monday-Friday. The office is located in West Los Angeles, CA (90064). This is not a remote position*


Duties:

  • Oversee all in-house legal documentation and communication, such as compliance training, and contracts
  • Stay up-to-date and familiar with company and legal policies, SEC/FTC rules and regulations and new legislation and political news
  • Crafting and reviewing legal strategy in response to any litigation
  • Build and maintain SOP’s
  • Listen to and audit a high volume of phone calls
  • Document, report and correct noncompliant behavior directly to Executives, Sales Management, and Sales Representatives
  • Report findings and solutions to management


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years in a similar role
  • Current member in good standing with the State Bar of California
  • Strong understanding of SEC/FTC rules and regulations
  • Highly analytical and detail oriented
  • Able to use sound judgment and work independently, with minimal supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with co-workers, vendors and other third-parties


Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7:00 am - 4:00pm PST.
