Assistant ControllerWe are seeking an experienced Assistant Controller with extensive expertise in non-profit accounting and compliance. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial operations of our non-profit entities. The Assistant Controller will lead the non-profit accounting team, assist with cash flow management across the organization, and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, GATA, and industry standards. This position offers growth potential within the organization, with a focus on continuous improvement, efficiency, and career development. The individual must be hands-on and willing to pitch in as well as manage the team.Key Responsibilities:Non-Profit Accounting Leadership: Oversee financial reporting, fund accounting, and grant management for non-profit entities.Cash Flow Management: Assist in preparing cash flow forecasts for the non-profit entities and participate in cash decision-making processes.Month-End Close: Lead the month-end close process for the non-profit entities, ensuring accurate and timely reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.Audit and Compliance: Manage external audit process, prepare necessary documentation for auditors, and ensure compliance with non-profit regulations, including grant management and donor reporting.Internal Controls and Process Improvement: Review and maintain strong internal controls to enhance operational efficiency, mitigate risk, and ensure financial accuracy.Team Leadership: Supervise the non-profit accounting team, including Senior Accountant, ensuring proper delegation of tasks and promoting a culture of collaboration.
